Laurier Chinese Student Association, 2024

Objective

Develop Laurier Chinese Student Association’s (CSA) event branding for the annual Night market campaign, while increasing engagement and ensuring inclusivity and visual cohesion. The goal was to move beyond traditional Asian-associated colours (red/yellow) and create a fresh, travel-inspired identity that appealed to a broader audience.

Process

Partnered with 3 Laurier clubs to develop a unified "Tour Around Asia" travel theme, leading creative direction. Created a vibrant blue colour scheme with grainy textures and cloud motifs for a modern, inclusive look. Produced 13 on-brand graphics/videos using consistent typography and travel-inspired elements.

Results

  • +186% increase in post engagement.

  • Cohesive branding elevated event perception, contributing to a record of +500 attendees.

Objective

Rebrand UX Laurier’s largest annual event, Design-a-thon, with a fresh, nature-inspired visual identity that differentiated it from past iterations. The goal was to balance bold creativity with UX Laurier’s brand ethos, attracting 60+ Canadian undergraduate teams through standout graphics.

Process

Redesigned the event branding from pastels to bold nature themes with playful illustrations (flowers with limbs, dots/lines). Created promotional graphics using vibrant colours and gradients while keeping visuals clean and cohesive.

Results

Drove a 43% increase in engagement and attracted a record 60 teams from across Canada, while establishing a fresh creative direction for future Design-a-thons.

Objective

Grow a niche press-on nail brand by leveraging Instagram and Depop, combining my passion for art with affordable, high-quality nail designs tailored to students. The goal was to increase engagement, build a loyal client base, and establish a recognizable aesthetic—all while keeping prices accessible for a Gen Z audience.

Process

Researched nail trends to create budget-friendly student content. Optimized Instagram Reels with trending sounds/close-ups, and Depop with natural-light flat lays using keywords like "affordable." Built community via polls, DMs, and handwritten notes.


Results

  • +900% increase in Instagram Reel views (177 → 1,809 in 6 months).

  • Gained 2-5 new clients monthly through organic reach, with 60% becoming repeat buyers.
